Digi owns and operates an extensive telecommunications network throughout the country of Belize in wireline, wireless and data
services. The company offers and uses a wide range of products and technologies that include fixed line telephone service, fixed wireless,
national and international calling services, prepaid services, an advanced LTE mobile network, international voice, and data roaming,
fiber internet, data services, content and financial services.

 

ABOUT ROLE:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Belize Telemedia Limited (BTL/Digi) in partnership with the Board of Directors, is responsible for the success of BTL. Together, the Board and CEO assure BTL’s relevance to the community, the accomplishment of BTL’s mission and vision, and the accountability of BTL to its shareholders. The CEO has the authority to carry out the management and day-to-day operations in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board. The CEO provides guidance/advice to the Board as it carries out its governance functions.

 

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Master’s degree with ten years of experience in executive management preferably in telecoms or an associated industry.
  • Proven ethical leadership and professional management capacities that have been underpinned by strategic planning, strong business acumen and client-focused skill sets.
  • Well-developed ability to foster relationships and inspire change and growth for success at an individual, team and organizational level.
  • Proficient in sponsoring organizational development initiatives and systems to attain performance targets.
  • Demonstrated results-based accomplishments via development and implementation of organizational strategies and Change Management processes.
  • Proven ability to solve routine and critical problems expeditiously with minimal risk to the Company.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and proven ability to handle complex inter and intra organizational issues and demands. 
  • In-depth technical knowledge of the industry would be an asset.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Lead Belize’s Digital Transformation by being the driver of the digital economy and making technology the center of work, communication, and play.
  • Simplify and enhance the customer journey to make the experience easy and develop our employees to lead the transformation whilst motivating them to be the best they can be.
  • Address our customers’ requirements by providing access solutions to seamlessly integrate from hardware to software to new emerging services.
  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Digi by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and revamping processes in this ultra-competitive environment.
  • Seek opportunities to generate new revenue streams from existing and emerging digital technologies.
