Temporary Assignment in its Operations Division with duty station in “Belize City”

 

ABOUT DIGI: Digi owns and operates an extensive telecommunications network throughout the country of Belize in wireline, wireless and data services. The company offers and uses a wide range of products and technologies that include fixed line telephone service, fixed wireless, national and international calling services, prepaid services, an advanced LTE mobile network, international voice and data roaming, Fiber internet and data services.

ABOUT ROLE: The Project Management Office Department is responsible to project manage the Chief Operations Office (COO) strategic and non-strategic projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the End-to-End planning, executing, monitoring, control, and closing of the project(s). The successful candidate is to ensure that the proper Project Plan Documents, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Communication Management, and Resource Management are done in accordance with the Project Management Process. In addition, oversee all aspects of the project following the Project Management Institute (PMI) Standards and Best Practices. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Project Management Office.

 

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years relevant working experience with Project Management and working in a leadership role in similar industry.

Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.

Knowledge of project management techniques and tools. ▪ Proven experience in people management.

Proven experience in strategic planning. ▪ Proven experience in risk & change management.

Proficient in project management software.

Capacity to understand current and planned BTL Infrastructure and Business.

Working actively on keeping knowledge up to date.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Budget & Planning

Resource Planning and management of projects.

Support the preparation of the COO CAPEX & OPEX budget.

Support the management, reporting & forecasting of the COO CAPEX & OPEX budget.

Contribute to a company-wide reporting system to ensure optimal cooperation and control.

Contribute to a corporate culture which supports the achievement of ambitious goals and fosters effective inter-cultural co-operation.

Support the PMO office across BTL driving the execution of projects within the CAPEX Budget.

 

Administration & Support

Manage all Projects that fall within the portfolio of projects assigned to the Project & Release Manager.

Manage all releases that are assigned to the Project Manager.

Execute the PMI methodology across all projects by documenting best practices, templates, and communicating them throughout the organization for full adoption.

Execute project maturity model and execute improvement actions across BTL

Support the transformation of the Project Management Office (PMO) to Value Management Office (VMO) by executing a Value Management process
